Remember how I signed up for that marathon in September? And have been putting in the time, work, early mornings, early nights to accommodate the early mornings etc… Well now it’s all up in the air.
My hip/thigh pain has worsened to the point where I can’t run more than a couple of steps — whelp.
I spent some time at the doctors yesterday.
Had some X-rays to rule out anything happening in my lower back (all clear) and was poked, prodded, stretched etc with no answers.
I went from a GP to an orthopedist and both said I am ‘an interesting case’. Normally I would be happy with being interesting but now? Not so much.
Long story short, I need to have an MRI but we are going out of town first thing in the morning for two weeks soooooo I think for now I just have to do what I have to do — which is not to run.
I am 5 weeks out from my marathon and can’t run. No bueno!
Bummed big time.
Luckily there has been some colour and happiness in my life the past few days by way of delicious eats. Here’s whats been filling my belly parts the last couple of days.
We are off on vacation first thing tomorrow and I can.not.wait. Put me in the humidity – stat!
Anyone currently suffering an injury? Any past injuries?
Any motivational words of comfort?
