Ohhhhhhh Annie, I love you so much but you were on my list this morning!
This little fluff ball decided that 3:20am was a perfectly reasonable wake up time this morning. I usually have her (without even trying!) trained to only wake up Chris on these early morning poop runs but today she wasn’t giving up so easily. She slowly crawled up the front of me, sat down on my chest and licked my face until I obliged to get up and take her out. Ohhhhhh so tired!
……………….
But anyhoo, let’s back it up a little to last night shall we?
Dinner…
On the way home from work yesterday evening, I stopped into Whole Foods to pick up a couple of things for dinner (and spend a million dollars). I was in the mood for pasta, especially after my freak craving.
I picked up a couple of different pastas – 4 cheese tortellini and artichoke ravioli.
To go with the pasta I also scooped up some pine nut pesto which was deeeeeeelish!
And to satisfy another craving, I also grabbed three HUGE sweet potatoes, one for fries and the other two for the rest of the week.
I whipped up another batch of my thick-cut sweet potato fries and these ones were extra delicious and crispy. I moved them up under the broiler for the last 15 minutes and they crisped up nicely!
Dinner came together nice and easily and was a tasty treat!
……………
I ate dinner relatively early since I wasn’t sure what time Chris would be home from work so when 8:30 rolled around, my sweet tooth was feeling a little left out.
Surprisingly for 8:30 at night, I felt like getting a little bit creative. I pulled a Fibre One 90 calorie brownie out of the pantry, broke it up and heated in the microwave for about 25 seconds. While the brownie was cooking, I sliced up a banana, dusted it in cinnamon and vanilla extract and grilled it in a small fry pan for about 4 minutes.
Then I topped the brownie with the banana and a couple of blueberries.
Holy deliciousness…
This one will definitely be making a repeat performance sometime soon.
……………
And now back to today, wow I’m jumping all over the place!
Breakfast…
Breakfast this morning was a simple bowl of microwave porridge with a big helping of peanut butter stirred in.
I paired it with a new-t0-me tea flavour…
It basically tasted like a lightened up chai which works for me!
….
Since I have a bit of a tweaked work schedule this week, I wasn’t able to make it to the 9:30 Zumba class this morning, hmmm my plan is not going so well so far! Oh well, I’m still feeling energized by it!
Depending on my knee this afternoon, I’m either going to get out for a run or head to an evening body combat class. We shall see!
Happy Tuesday all!
