Oh the frustrations.

Well, was that a frustrating afternoon!  Grrrrrrr!

Oh, hey guys! Sorry, just had to let that one out.  I had a perfectly nice day followed by a very very annoying afternoon.

The kids at work were being particularly naughty, Safeway was a complete disaster and didn’t have half of the things I needed (as per usual) and someone very obviously and very rudely snaked my parking space at home!! Ok ok I know, it could have been much worse but I don’t need to hear that right now, ya hear?

Now onto the good parts of the day…

Lunch…

Lunch today was oh so easy and pretty freaking delicious too thanks to my Morning Star Veggie patty.  When I saw that these bad boys were on sale at the supermarket the other day, I picked up a packet to give them a whirl.

I whipped my patty up the microwave way (suggested on the box) and for the last 30 seconds, added a slice of muenster cheese.

Cheesy patty time!

Cheesy patty time!

Mmmm melty cheese! I paired it with some left-over roast veggies from last night’s dinner failure.  Deeelish! Added bonus, this lunch kept me feeling full for a loooonnng time!

The happy feelings from the tastiness of lunch quickly dissipated when I had to leave this solemn little face behind and head off to work.

Drama, drama, drama!

Drama, drama, drama!

Annie can get pretty dramatic when Chris and I leave her behind and today was no different.  Look at her up there on her blanket tower.

Poor Annie, it’s a tough life!

…………….

At work today, the mum from my work family gave me the January copy of Runner’s World to peruse since she’s finished with it.  She’s very excited for me running my first half-marathon (she’s a 9 time marathoner!!) and said that she always feels more fired up for running after reading a running mag.

Inspiration!

Inspiration!

I have to say, even briefly flipping through the pages made me really excited for my race, and to learn all I can about becoming a real-life runner!  If you could give me a guarantee that I’ll look like the gal on the front too, that’d be sweet.  That’s one seriously flat tum.

I also found a recipe in there that I’m trying out tonight with this little baby…

Secret sauce.

Secret sauce.

You’ll just have to wait until tomorrow to hear about this one!

For the rest of the night, you’ll find me here…

The good stuff.

The good stuff.

Have a great night everyone!
