Back to Routine.

We finally bid farewell to our last Christmas visitors last night and now the apartment is feeling a little too quiet.  Booo!

Workout…

Yesterday I worked out for the first time in a week (besides skiing) and it felt awesome! It was so nice to take an hour or so to myself and go and work up a nice sweaty sheen.

I started with 45 minutes of fat burning on the elliptical machine fueled by watching some Real Housewives of the OC.  Oh trashy tv, you make exercising so easy!

Working it out!

Workout it out!

After finishing up the 45 minutes, I headed over to the mat to continue my sweat fest.

I decided that just because Christmas is over, doesn’t mean I can’t do a fun Christmas inspired workout!

I pulled up a crossfit style Holiday workout from Jess over at Blonde Ponytail.  Oh man this was a tough one!  It went a little like this;

4 Rounds For Time;

10 Prisoner lunges

5 Burpees

10 Push Ups

5 Burpees

10 Squats

5 Burpees

10 Butterfly sit ups

5 Burpees

OUCH!! It was like a Burpee club sandwich! Hard and painful but oh so good at the same time.

Lunch…

After showering and getting changed, my stomach was a-grumblin! I made two mini tortilla roll ups, one with vegemite and muenster cheese and one with peanut butter.

I only just managed to snap a photo of the very last bite before I scoffed it down.

PB bite!

PB bite!

Yum!

We spent the rest of the afternoon spending some quality time with our family.

We managed one last dinner all together and decided on sushi at Moshi Moshi.  We split some edamame and ahi coconut katsu before demolishing several delicious fun rolls.  I spent most of dinner staring at this little guy…

Nawww I miss him already!

After we dropped off our Christmas visitors at the airport for their red-eye flight back to New York, Chris and I headed downtown to meet up with some buddies for a drink at Sauce.

Reisling delish!

And then called it a night!

……….

Breakfast…

Today started off on a delicious note! I had a little bit of left over Easy Creamy Stovetop Oats that I made for the family yesterday and had in the fridge overnight.  I added some plain Chobani yogurt, sliced banana and a drizzle of honey and savoured every last bite!

Now I’m off to get this day going! It’s been la-zy around here so far.

Happy Saturday folks!
